To open a bank account, you'll usually need a social security number, money to fund the account, and an authorized parent or legal guardian if you are under 18 years old. The account opening process is very easy and can usually take less than 10 minutes if you have everything with you. Be aware when you have a bank account that you know of any fees it may have or minimum balances of the account.
