CPS board meeting yesterday was a travesty. When voting on school closings, relocations, teacher firings at different schools across the city, the school board lumped all 18 schools into a single vote and made a blanket vote yes to all these changes. No changes were on voted independently.
If you are a Chicago parent, you need to know how the CPS system really works. They do not have your child's best interest in mind, these are political deals done behind closed doors with little or no parental or teacher input. Shame on CEO Arnie Duncan and the rest of the CPS school board. They move kids around in a sick experiment just watching to see what will happen sometimes in direct opposition to prevailing educational wisdom.
