Re: Get your prize pack here

According to my children, a dad is someone who takes out the garbage, takes them to the library and out for slurpees, does the laundry, reads them bedtime stories, and does whatever Momma tells him to do.  (Shows what a wonderful husband and father my husband is, doesn't it?)

Re: Get your prize pack here

Masyn's only 8 months old so right now his definition of Dad is "Papa Duck"  Every night in the bathtub, we sing the song about the 5 little ducks who went out to play and eventually none of them came back (I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about!)  :o)  Well, since dad can't be home for bath time, I bring my cell phone into the bathroom and put him on speaker.  He's silent for the entire song until it comes time for the Papa Duck to quack and then he puts most real ducks to shame!  Masyn always knows what's coming and immediately swivels around to where the phone rests on the counter behind us just before his Papa quacks at him and then giggles like it's the funniest thing he's ever heard.  Of course, dad gives the best "razzberries", tickles, and funny faces too but nothing beats the way his face lights up at every quack from his Papa Duck.

Dad is: he cares for you, nice to you, helps you do things, helps you write your name like also he helps you read a paper or book, he loves you, a dad also shows you what pirates do and gives you bandaids too.  Helps you cut a craft and he helps you get a cup, he helps you with math if you are little and don't know math either, shows you how to type, shows you how to play games, helps you tape things together, builds with you.  Shows you buildings and ahhhhh he shows you how to make a lego and uhm he cares for you and he helps you turn on a light bulb.  He also helps you feed a doggie.  He also shows you a picture and how to take a picture with a camera, and he shows you plants and takes you fishing. He fixes things with you.

That is all from my 5yr old.  I had to cut him off or he would still be going.

Re: Get your prize pack here

My 5 year old son defines "dad" as his wrestling partner, protector of the house, taker out of the trash, and the fixer of all things in the house.       My 9-1/2 month old daughter just knows that "dad" gives her whatever she wants.

Re: Get your prize pack here

A dad to my 2 yr. old is the maker of dinner, the one who comes to pick her up from daycare, the bath time entertainer, animal imitator, the horsey she likes to ride, the very funny and fun one to hang around, the one who makes time pass fast when mommy has to work late and can get her all excited about the fact that mommy is home and not that mommy is home so late.
