Get your Adler prize pack here

You don't have to be an astronaut to visit the moon. Through the month of April, five Chicago Parent readers will have a chance to win family five packs each week to go see "Fly Me to the Moon" at Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, as well as general admission to the planetarium. To win, we'll post a different question to answer here every week. For this week, we want to know what your kids would take if they took a trip to the moon. Post your answer here, then e-mail your answer, name and your Chicago Parent ID to e-dition at chicagoparent dot com. You must post and e-mail us for your answer to be counted. We will not release your information-it is purely for contact purposes. Some answers may appear in Chicago Parent magazine. Winners will be chosen at random and may have no affiliation with Wednesday Journal Inc. or its employees.

To find out more about, "Fly Me to the Moon," check out the article in our April edition here.

This contest is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Re: Get your Adler prize pack here

If my children took a trip to the moon, my son would take his teddy bear named "Bear" and my daughter would take her seahorse.  My son would be the one who would love an adventure like this.  He is always so imaginative and wants to learn everything.  He's asked me questions before about what's on the moon.  My daughter, 9 months, would just wonder what was happening and would keep smiling as she always does.

My 4 year old son said he would take a helmet.  An oxygen helmet, so he could breathe there.  Wow.  I never thought he would say that.  I thought he would say he'd take his favorite toy!  Impressive.

My children would bring their pillow and blankets.  They each tote those things around all the time.

My soon to be 3 year old is a fanatic over polishing her nails!! So finger nail polish would be her item of choice for taking to the moon.  Not mommy, not oxygen, but "POLISH".
    I love being a Mommy!!

My daughter would take her Nintendo DS & games, her brother's laptop (with no connection in space I imagine - LOL!), her blanket, a Webkinz or 2, and an American Girl doll. Maybe her clarinet too (a Mom can wish!).

If my son were to go to the moon he would take his blanket and Curious George. You can not leave those two items behind no matter what. He will wake up in the middle of the night looking for them if he doesn't feel them next to him.

If my three kids were to visit the moon.   One would bring their map game, since he is pretty attached to that thing.  The other would bring his Good Night Moon bunny, which he has named Stephen.  Lastly, my youngest, who is just about 14 months would simple bring her binky, since she is pretty attached to it.   Thanks.

If my kids, ages 4 years and 20 months, were going to the moon they would bring their sand toys.  They both love digging and sifting and building castles.
