Re: This week's piece of the prize, April 24, 2008

My kids are stuck on dogs, all kinds of them... I ended up getting a dog that was exactly like underdog since my children were so fascinated with him.  They watch every movie with a dog involved, from Snow Buddies, Underdog, 101 Dalmatians, Air Bud, Beethoven, Dr. Dolittle, and there most favorite~ Courage the Cowardly Dog.

We have had our 16 week puppy for 4 weeks now and they still haven’t gotten bored with her~

My kid's would like a little puppy as their best friend. They have stuffed beanie babies of all kinds of animals but they always take the puppy one's with them. They want a little dog right now but living in a small apartment, I'm waiting to get a bigger place and the kid's are more mature and responsible.

My son would love a dog as a best friend.  Not a little dog, but a great big dog that he can chase and wrestle on the ground.  One of these days maybe...  Of course, mom and dad would be the ones taking care of any dog.  I think we will wait until my son is a little older.  My daughter would love anything furry as a best friend.  She is only 9 months, and would only love to pull its hair.  I think we will wait on buying any animal for a while.

My son's best friend is Baby. Our four month old Pekingese. He is crazy over her. If he goes to grandma's for babysitting the dog is there. He gets up early in the morning just to walk her (my son is going to be three next month) He makes sure she has water and food. Baby has her own blanket in the car for when she rides with us which is 99% of the time. He does not like to leave her at home!

My son would probably want a cat for his best friend. We have a dog, but my husband is allergic to cats, so we can't ever have a cat. i think not be able to have a cat, makes my son want one more!! He always asks me for a cat even those he knows Dad is allergic!! He would probably want a big cat like a lion or something!!

My 4 year old son would definitely pick  a horse for a best friend.  He is fascinated with horses and pretends he has one named "Barber".

I suspect one of my kids would choose any animal they would come in contact in any given day.   They like animals & they feel all of them are their best freind.

My 6 year old said she likes all animals, but likes dogs the best because they play the most with people.  My other two daughters (ages 4 and 8) like kittens because they are so cute and soft.

Three of my kids are going with a cat.  they love cats because they are cute and cuddly and they even take ours for walks on a leash.  My one daughter wants a pig.  Not a potbelly wither, she wants a hog.  SHe loves pigs and the bigger the better.  I swear if we moved out to a farm she would be in her glory.

My 4 year old daughter would love to have a monkey for a best friend, one like Dora the Explorer's friend Boots.  She has an active imagination and loves to pretend that she's on an adventure.  My 20 month old son is at a point where he loves to copy anything his sister does so he'd probably also want a monkey for his best friend.
