Re: Get your tickets to "The Blue House" here

The best parenting tip my mother ever gave me was one that she received from her mother-in-law (my grandma).  She said to give a baby a warm bath so they settle down better at night.  I did find that my children went to sleep easier and slept better after a bath.  I think they do even to this day and they're 9,7, and 5!

Re: Get your tickets to "The Blue House" here

My mom passed away before my kids were born so I did not get advice on how to parent, but my mom set a great example of what a great mom is when I was growing up.  She was very involved in all our activities, school functions, helping with homework and also volunteered a lot for charities and other organizations.  I was always amazed at how she put everyone else before herself.  I try to be like her in that way.

Re: Get your tickets to "The Blue House" here

My mom always taught me to "Trust my instinct". New mothers are usually always bombarded with all sorts of advice, but the best advice is to always to go with your gut. My always says as long as I, the mom, have my children's best interest and health as my top concern, then any choice I make will be the best one.

    Thats my mom :)

Re: Get your tickets to "The Blue House" here

My mom is such a loving, generous woman who leads by example. We were well-fed and she always let us eat before before bed, usually a bowl of cereal or tea and toast. So, "never send your kids to bed hungry" left an impression. My daughter feeds her baby dolls before bed now, too!!
