You don't have to be an astronaut to visit the moon. Through the month of April, five Chicago Parent readers will have a chance to win family five packs each week to go see "Fly Me to the Moon" at Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, as well as general admission to the planetarium. To win, we'll post a different question to answer here every week. For this week, we want to know your family's favorite place to visit on the weekends. Post your answer on our discussion board, then e-mail your answer, name and your Chicago Parent ID to e-dition at chicagoparent dot com. You must post and e-mail us for your answer to be counted. We will not release your information-it is purely for contact purposes. Some answers may appear in Chicago Parent magazine. My daughter loves to visit the zoo in the summer on weekends.  We have made it there about 6 times last Summer.  She loves animals.  We also enjoy the outdoors and all get some exercise too.

Our favorite place is simply downtown Chicago.  The kids enjoy taking a train down and then all the things to do in the city withing walking distance.  When the weather is nice we spend alot of time at different parks and activities around the downtown.

We like to bowl together when we can- it's fun for all of us! During the summer we really like to just stay home and hang out with the neighbors on our deck, or at one of their homes, though.

This is a great idea for a fun, learning experience for children and parents.

My family loves to visit the Morton Arboretum, especially the Children's Garden.  There is so much to explore, while learning so many new things at the same time.  We have tons of fun and love being outdoors!  

We have a membership to Brookfield Zoo, so I try to take full advantage of that. We go at least 2-3 times a month in the summer.

Our family favorite spot is the American Legion parking lot overlooking a wooded area.  We walk/ride our bikes over.  The kids skateboard or ride their bikes in the empty parking lot.  And the dog gets to play fetch in the wooded area.  All of us have a great time!  It's free, it's healthy but most importantly....we are together!

Our family loves to visit Indianapolis!  Some of our favorite places in the area are the Childrens' Museum, the zoo, and Camp Atterbury, where my husband (kids' daddy) is stationed.  It's a wonderful city to visit and not too far away!

My 2 younger kids love to visit Kohl Children's Museum at Glenview and The Children's Museum at Navy Pier (",)

During the summer, we take out a membership at a local water park and spend as much time as possible there - even after camp in the evenings.  When the weather is cold and dreary, we head up to Nickel City to play arcade games for nickels - even my 2 year old loves it!

Now that the weather is getting nice, my family likes to go to the park and the Cosley Zoo on the weekends. The best part is that both are near by and free!!! We love spending time outdoors.

My family's favorite place to visit on the weekends our public parks. We try out new parks as often as possible. We drive to Oak Lawn, Tinley, Orland, anywhere that's clean and safe. We are looking forward to riding out bikes when it warns up.

Our family likes to go to the mall on the weekends in the wintertime. In the summer, our favorite spot is Lake Shore Drive and we go and play at parks off the lake. I can't wait for summer to come!!
