Get your MSI prize pack here

During the month of May, five Chicago Parent readers will win a family pack each week to visit the “Glass Experience” exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry, 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, as well as general admission to the museum and an MSI hat. For more information on the “Glass Experience,” visit www.msichicago.org. Each week, we’ll post a different question to answer every week. For this week’s chance to win, we want to know what summer event your kids are looking forward to when school lets out. Post your answer here, then e-mail your answer, name and your Chicago Parent ID to e-dition at chicagoparent.com. You must post and e-mail us for your answer to be counted. We will not release your information-it is purely for contact purposes. Some answers may appear in Chicago Parent magazine. Winners will be chosen at random and may have no affiliation with Wednesday Journal Inc. or its employees.

This contest is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Eventhough my children cannot understand why we picked Branson, MO for our 1-week family trip in June, they are very curious to find out why Branson.

Although our children are looking forward to the summer enrichment courses through their school district, swim lessons, camps, and vacation bible schools, what they really want most is more family time!  They love spending extra time with their Dad and me.  Summer gives us a chance to connect as a family without the pressures of homework, getting to bed early, etc.  We're ready!

Our family is looking forward to all of the fun things that happen in Millenium park.  I know the whole schedule is not out yet but Justin Roberts will be singing there and he is GREAT!  Last year we waited all summer for the Ralph's World Labor Day concert, and he was amazing.  We also love the tent activities.  During the MSI week we did the 3D jigsaw puzzle globe at least 3 times.  And we saw this very kid friendly brass band called Cinco.  They played the Harry Potter theme, and my daughter really enjoyed that.  So definitely go down to Millenium Park!

When school is out for the summer, my son can't wait to go swimming.  We take a few long weekends in the summer and visit different waterparks.  He just loves it!  My 10-month old daughter just loves to have fun no mater what activity we do.  It doesn't take much to please her.

About a week after school get out, we are going on a family vacation to California! My son is so excited to go! It will be his first time on a plane, and his first time going to Disneyland! We are also going to be visiting family out there, so he is excited about that! We are counting the days until we leave!
My son is also excited for the pool to open, so he can swim!!

This summer my children want to do some activities, some of them it is to go of trip to Disney, also they want to go of camping to the Yoggie Bear, and of vacations to Wisconsin Dells, to visit museums, to go to the Librery, to go to the swimming pool, to go to the Chicago Botanic Garden, to go of going fishing; I believe that we are going to go at least one of these activities.

Every summer, my children and I can't wait for the temperature to rise so that we can head over to North Avenue Beach. My son brings a full-sized shovel so that he can dig giant moats, and my daughter and I bring our favorite books so that we can read and relax together.
