My daughter Katelyn, four years old, would probably love to have a lamb for a pet.  She received a stuffed lamb for Easter and absolutely loves her Lamby.  He's very soft and cuddly.

My daughter really loves the two dogs we have but would really love to have a kitten. My son if dinosaurs were still around and could be house pets he would probably do the dinosaur but he too really wants a kitten.  I don't think the two dogs would like a cat very much and my husband and I can't stomach a litter box, so they have to settle for the dogs.

My daughter would love an elephant.  She thinks they are so cute.  It is the first animal she wants to go see at the zoo.  I have to admit elephants are my favorite too!

My  four year old son would love to have a dog as a pet.  He asked me a few times if he could get one.....maybe if he is a little older.

My children, and my husband want to get a dog so bad this spring/summer.  A few people in our family recently got puppies this winter so my husband has been arranging play dates for their puppies to come over.  My husband claims it is for the children, but I think it is more for him.

My three year old daughter would probably want a cat or a dinosaur.  She loves cats whenever she seems them somewhere at a house or in a book  or on TV and says they are cute.  But since witnessing how she plays with our two dogs, a dinosaur might be more appropriate for her and she does have several dinosaur toys she plays with often.

My children would only like to have our current pet, our dog Tessa.  If they had another pet, they think Tessa would not like that (and would bother the other pet too much).  Instead of having to get rid of Tessa to get a new and different pet, they would keep her instead!

My boys would LURVE them some dogs. I was raised with lots of dogs and miss having them; at this point, we're five people in an apartment, so I think getting a dog would be a bit cruel for the pooch. My five-year-old asked me just last week, "Mommy, can I please have a real doggie?" so plaintively that it made me a little teary. But until we have a home with a yard (and no little diapers to change), our kids have to make do with our cats. One of them acts a little like a dog... but it's not the same.

Since we are apartment-dwellers, my kids would absolutely love to have a dog. Not very creative, I know, but since pets (except fish) aren't allowed, the kids can't wait until they have the opportunity to get a dog!

My 5-year-old daughter, Alexa Maria, would be delighted to have a bat like Stellaluna live with us.  Ever since we read the book Stellaluna for the first time, Alexa who feels bad for the bat who did not know her mommy and was raised as a bird, says she would like to care for all the bats who did not have a family.  That's all I need in my house... a bat! :)

My daughter would love to have a pig as a pet.  Not just a little potbellly pig, but a big pig.  I tell her that when she grows up and lives on a farm she can have a pig as a pet.

My 5 year old son would love a puppy to wrestle with.  Daddy would be happy because this would give him a break.  We just lost 2 cats recently within two months of each other, whom my son adored.  He wasn't able to play with them like he would a puppy because they were almost 16 years old.  He wants a puppy also for mommy, so I'm not so sad anymore.  He is all heart!
