Take Me To Your Liter

Little earthlings will be happy to hit the bath water sans endless prompting from mom and dad (the promise of cheapie drugstore soap bubbles usually does the trick at our house), when they get a load of Pottery Barn Kids' silly Space Alien Bath Wraps (shown at top left and bottom right, $29).

Each 100% cotton terry hooded wrap is cushy and absorbent, and does a pretty fantastic job at keeping pruny pint-sizers wrapped up cozily post-bath.

The long length keeps tall small ones like Wills completely covered and free from chilly drafts - baby-sized towels fall short, literally - and the crazy zig-zag tail and bobbly antennae attached to the top and back (shown at top left and bottom right) look absolutely hysterical - especially if your soggy little guy makes a break for it once he's out of the tub and runs merrily down the hall.

Happens here all the time.

Sometimes Wills even keeps the towel on.

Usually not.

Choose from green, pink, blue or yellow, and personalize with your mini martian's moniker for just six bucks more.

And, once playtime and bathtime are over and it's time for the tots to bed down for the night, make the evening's toy round-up easy (read: fast) for everyone with PBK's attractive Canvas Rugby Stripe Buckets (shown at bottom left in the foreground, $19-$39).

They're a total cinch to assemble - I did it with just one hand while talking on the phone -  simply fit the canvas cover over the wire frame, secure with the built in Velcro strips, grab a sturdy handle and go.

Even the littlest hands can lug the lightweight buckets around, and if they get dirty, simply remove the outer cover, throw it in the wash and voila - like new again. Just make sure to follow the directions so you don't end up with shrinkage.

After all, you don't want your new means of storage ending up with the amount of space normally reserved for the teapot under Grandma's tea cozy.

Choose from red or navy in medium (shown in the foreground) or large sizes (shown in the background). The rules of personalization apply here, too. For six extra dollars, have your bucket bear anything from junior's favorite nickname to the standard "Blocks," or the totally unexpected, like "Fairy Dust."

Anything goes.

Cosmomama says there's more in the details:
I've always found PBK's towels to be on the rough side. Definitely wash them before that first use. Putting them through the regular cycle softens them up significantly, making them plush and not at all scratchy - a must when using on sensitive skin.

No one wants to dry off with sandpaper.

And if the red and navy basket colors are too masculine for you, go for PBK's fresh and clean (new for Spring) Canvas Polka Dot versions, or their line of simple solids in pastel and primary colors.
