Ok, so all the accessories we lug along on outings and errands meant to keep baby's bum fresh as a Frenchman aren't particularly attractive.
I guess diapers are unassuming enough - you can always work Disney and Sesame Street characters into polite conversation, but all those tubes of butt lotions and rash potions packed in already overstuffed bags with their bright, white lettering that virtually screams "read me!" isn't exactly something you want to flash at the table, unless it's of the changing variety.
Keep it all safely and discreetly hidden in Mommy Loves' best-selling, soft-sides Tres Chic Baby Tote (shown at top left, $48.44). The combination Parisian-themed shabby chic and so-crazy-it-works hot pink cheetah-print trim is fabulous - there's a whole matching line of bags, bottle holders and bibs to choose from - and with all of its interior bottle pockets, padded bottom and matching changing pad, you'll be so organized, no one will even guess you have extra-creamy eczema ointment lurking inside.
And, for moms who haven't had the chance to use those diaper bags yet, Mommy Loves offers a ton of super-soft, stretchy cotton tees and tops with funny yet typical maternity messages like, "Now Brewing House Blend," "Nesting," and "Baked With Love."
Cosmotot's pick is the understated, cleanly styled, collegiate "9 Months" tee (shown at right, $30-35.99), since it takes the contrived and makes it stylish without being too precious.
Dads looking to gift their blushing belly bearers (or new grandmas) with a push present (if you do that kind of thing) or just a little keepsake to mark the momentous welcome-to-the-world occasion, have sweet, simple, affordable option in the company's "You Grew in My Heart" charm (shown at bottom left, $49.99-$59.99), which is available as a sterling silver or 14K gold pendant or charm.
Cosmomama says there's more in the details:
The one drawback to Mommy Loves is the web site. The graphics aren't great for most of the products (I wish I could click on a tee color choice for example, and see it change on the model pictured), and trying to navigate through the diaper bag choices is a pain since pop-up window after pop-up window opens to showcase different options. It's best to look at the page that shows the entire collection in the style you like first and then click from there.
The upside? The tees come in sizes ranging from small to 2X, so the styles are bound to fit all sorts of beautiful bumps and bellies.
