Parents Know Best

You're it!

The current weather may not be all that conducive to a game of tag, but if your kids are up for running around in the snow (or you have space for an indoor game), Tag Tails by Playskool offer a fun twist to the classic game. As the name suggests, the game features animal tails (zebra, lion, tiger and monkey) that kids wear around their waists. Instead of running around trying to “tag” the other players, you’re supposed to try to pull off everyone else’s tail.

Our testing mom tried these out with a group of preschoolers (the product is intended for ages 3-7) and said that while the kids had fun, the four included tails just weren’t enough. After all, tag is usually a game played with a large group of kids. There were a few scrapes as kids tripped while chasing each other around outside, but injuries are possible in any game of tag. Our mom said the kids enjoyed playing dress up with the tails even more than playing tag (which is a little more weather-appropriate right now anyway).

Tag Tails retail for $14.99; visit www.hasbro.com for more information.
