From Green Eggs and Ham to The Cat in the Hat, we here at Chicago Parent love Dr. Seuss. Apparently Kohl’s shares our love because they’re offering four Seuss titles at their stores for $5 each. When you purchase Horton Hatches the Egg, Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories, Hop on Pop or Fox in Socks, or any of the corresponding stuffed animals (also $5), 100 percent of the net profits goes to Kohl’s Cares for Kids program. The program has raised more than $85 million for children’s initiatives including immunization programs, tutoring in schools and story hours for hospitalized children. The books are just what you’d expect from Dr. Seuss books—fun stories with big, colorful illustrations. The stuffed animals are super soft, absolutely adorable and definitely affordable at $5 each. So the next time you’re in a Kohl’s store, you can add to your child’s library while donating to a good cause.
